"The last time there was an eclipse over North America some friends of mine made a few creative posts on social media. I was inspired by the imagery and wrote this tune. April 8th 2024 marks a total solar eclipse over my hometown. So we recorded the song in honour of the celestial event.."

Dreamed I was looking in Rosie’s it was fall and the roses were changing colour
Then the world turned around and caught you runnin’ from the bathroom
Picked up your camera left your phone behind you by the running water
Dryer going, out of towels everything was changing colour

And the eclipse of the sun was a popular event on the internet
But the eclipse of the sun wasn’t…waiting for you
to finish your sandwich at the zoo
When it was liberated from your hand by Gorilla Munch

Leapt out that door and set upon the strange old purple tarmac
Somebody landed a plane nearby on the road and smiled different colours
Airport taxi need of assistance to emerge and see again
Everybody near was filled with love for the moment

And the eclipse of the sun was a beautiful event on the internet
But the eclipse of the sun wasn’t…waiting for you
to finish your sandwich at the zoo

The sudden changes, the perspective when you’re playing with an old camera
